Description
The invention relates to optical radiation modulators by electronic or optical modulating radiation.
с. № 1607029, МКИ5 G 03 G 16/00, 1985г).A known optical radiation modulator, including a first control electrode placed on a substrate, deformable, mirror elements made of conductive material, connected through a layer sensitive to modulating radiation to a second control electrode (AS No. 1607029, MKI5 G 03 G 16/00, 1985).
If the modulating radiation contains a background component, then it will be present in the reproduced image,
The purpose of the invention is to enhance the functionality by eliminating this drawback.
This goal is achieved by the fact that in the modulator containing the first electrode placed on the substrate, deformable mirror elements made of a conductive material connected to the second control electrode through a photoresistive layer are introduced sequentially located on the opposite side from the first control electrode a dielectric layer adjacent to the deformable elements and a third control electrode.
The invention is illustrated in the drawing.
The optical radiation modulator includes deformable mirror elements 2 made of conductive material 2 and a first control electrode 3. In the embodiment of FIG. 1, the mirror elements 2 are connected through a layer 4 sensitive to modulating radiation to the second control electrode 5. On the opposite side from the first control electrode 3, a dielectric layer 6 and a third control electrode 7 are adjacent to the mirror elements 2. Layer 6 and electrode 7 transparent.
The supports 8 of the mirror elements 2 from the side of the modulated radiation are covered by mirror sections, and their conductive sections connect the mirror elements 2 to the contact electrodes 9 adjacent to the layer 4. The mirror elements 2 are electrically isolated from each other.
The device operates as follows.
The modulating radiation in the layer 4 induces conductivity, the electric potential corresponding to that of the control electrode 5 is established on the mirror elements 2, which causes electrostatic deformation of the mirror elements 2 and their scattering of optical rays, recorded by read-through Schlieren optics as a useful signal.
Таким образом можно отфильтровать фоновую составл ющую модулирующего излучени .If a corresponding potential is applied to the additional electrode 7, which tends to deform the mirror elements 3 in the opposite direction, the combined action will cause low-intensity modulating radiation to not be able to deform the elements 3. In this way, the background component of the modulating radiation can be filtered.
