Description
The claimed technical solution relates to ferrous metallurgy, in particular to injection wires for processing steel and cast iron. These wires are introduced into the melt using special injection equipment for the purpose of refining it, as well as modifying non-metallic inclusions and consist of a steel shell and a filler, while the filler is inside a closed volume formed by the shell.
Various types of injection wires for processing metallurgical melts have been known for quite a long time, and their main purpose is to introduce into the melt the strictly required amount of the required reagents. The steel sheath of the injection wire serves, inter alia, to deliver reagents to the melt by means of injection equipment [1]. Consumer properties of injection wires are determined by the design (design) and quality characteristics of the filler.
An injection wire consisting of a steel sheath and a filler is known from the prior art, the filler consisting of two or more powder reagents [2] located inside a closed volume formed by the sheath. This technical solution has several significant drawbacks, the main ones of which are:
- неравномерный химический состав наполнителя по длине проволоки. При физическом смешении двух и более реагентов и проведении с наполнителем дальнейших технологических операций, таких как транспортировка, дозировка и других, происходит расслоение реагентов в объеме наполнителя вследствие их различного гранулометрического состава и плотности, что, в конечном счете, отрицательно сказывается на потребительских характеристиках и эффективности применения инжекционной проволоки;- uneven chemical composition of the filler along the length of the wire. When physically mixing two or more reagents and carrying out further technological operations with the filler, such as transportation, dosage and others, the reagents are stratified in the volume of the filler due to their different particle size distribution and density, which ultimately negatively affects consumer characteristics and efficiency injection wire applications;
- низкая плотность наполнителя. При изготовлении инжекционной проволоки порошковый наполнитель уплотняется как правило до 60-75% своей физической плотности, в результате чего во внутреннем объеме проволоки имеются микрообъемы - пустоты, заполненные воздухом. Со временем, при взаимодействии воздуха с наполнителем, например при хранении проволоки, происходит снижение качественных характеристик активных реагентов, входящих в состав порошкового наполнителя, в частности, за счет реакций окисления между находящимся в микропустотах кислородом воздуха. Это приводит к тому, что потребители инжекционных проволок, особенно с активными реагентами, должны ограничивать сроки их хранения и применения;- low density filler. In the manufacture of injection wire, the powder filler is usually compacted up to 60-75% of its physical density, as a result of which there are microvolumes in the inner volume of the wire - voids filled with air. Over time, during the interaction of air with the filler, for example, during storage of the wire, the qualitative characteristics of the active reagents that make up the powder filler decrease, in particular, due to oxidation reactions between the oxygen in the microvoids. This leads to the fact that consumers of injection wires, especially with active reagents, must limit their storage and use;
С этой целью дозировку порошкового наполнителя ведут в атмосфере инертного газа, в результате чего микропустоты наполнителя имеют пониженную концентрацию воздуха и снижается скорость реакции взаимодействия активных реагентов с кислородом.- additional costs in the manufacture of injection wire, aimed at reducing the activity of oxygen in the volume of the filler. To this end, the dosage of the powder filler is carried out in an inert gas atmosphere, as a result of which the filler microvoids have a reduced air concentration and the reaction rate of the interaction of the active reagents with oxygen is reduced.
The closest in technical essence to the claimed technical solution is an injection wire containing a filler of two powder reagents, the first powder reagent placed in the axial zone and enclosed in an intermediate metal shell, and the second powder reagent located in the annular zone between the intermediate and outer shell of the injection wire [3]. In this case, the axial zone mainly contains the most active reagents according to their affinity for oxygen.
Such an injection wire device provides relative protection of the active and low-melting reagent, for example calcium or its alloy, from its interaction with oxygen in the micro-voids of the filler, allows even distribution of the active reagent in the volume of the injection wire, and also increases the life cycle of the wire as a result of a later its melting in liquid steel. This fact has a positive effect on the efficiency of steel processing, since the reagents interact with the melt in the depths of the bucket.
However, this technical solution also has a number of significant drawbacks, in particular:
- порошковый наполнитель, содержащий активные реагенты, например кальций или его сплавы, имеет развитую удельную поверхность;- a powder filler containing active reagents, such as calcium or its alloys, has a developed specific surface area;
- активные реагенты, входящие в состав порошкового наполнителя, имеют повышенное содержание кислорода и азота на своей поверхности;- the active reagents that make up the powder filler have a high content of oxygen and nitrogen on their surface;
- закатка активных реагентов в промежуточную металлическую оболочку, расположенную внутри инжекционной проволоки, является весьма затратной технологической операцией.- rolling the active reagents into the intermediate metal sheath located inside the injection wire is a very expensive technological operation.
The purpose of the claimed technical solution is to maintain the qualitative characteristics of the active reagents, their uniform distribution along the length of the injection wire, as well as to increase the efficiency of processing metallurgical melts with active reagents.
1:2,1-3,6.This problem is solved due to the fact that the injection wire consists of a steel sheath and a combined filler located inside it containing several reagents, one of which is powder and at least one of the reagents has the form of a monolithic wire, and the reagent in the form of a monolithic wire is located inside the reagent powder in the center of the cross section and on the same axis of the injection wire. The filler of a combined injection wire may consist of powder reagents having a higher melting point, such as silicon or silicon - barium-containing alloys or fluorspar with a particle size of up to 2.5 mm, and active, low-melting reagents such as calcium, magnesium and their alloys. The diameter of the combined injection wire can be 11-18 mm, and the ratio of the diameters of the combined injection and monolithic wires can be in the range 1: 2.1-3.6.
The technical result provided by the given set of features is to improve the consumer characteristics of the combined injection wire through the use of active reagents in the form of a monolithic wire, as well as the high efficiency of the active reagents when refining metallurgical melts, modifying non-metallic inclusions and increasing the purity of steel.
The device of the combined injection wire in its cross section is shown in the figure.
Combined injection wire includes a
1.The utility model works as follows. The stationary combined injection wire is in the form of a riot, one end of which is tucked into the pulling mechanism of the injection machine. Before casting, after completion of the basic technological operations, the steel is treated with calcium-containing reagents. In this case, the length and speed of the wire entry are programmed on the control panel of the injection machine, then the drive is turned on and the wire is injected into the bucket along the guide wire. The results of the use of a combined injection wire and their comparison are presented in table 1.
The table shows that due to the novelty of the design, the efficiency of steel refining with a combined injection wire is almost four times higher than that of the prototype.
