Abstract
Invention herewith described refers to the device for weed control which comprises the switch (S), the transformer (TR), the cascade circuit (K) for voltage multiplication, the high-voltage transformer (TRHV) and the feedback (PS) which are connected into a whole by connecting the input port (F) to the switch (S) whose output terminal is attached to one input port of the transformer (TR) primary whose other end of the primary is connected to the input port (N), while the output ports of the transformer (TR) secondary are connected to the input ports of the cascade circuit (K) the output of which is connected to one input port of the high-voltage transformer (TRVN) primary, while the cascade circuit (K) is through the feedback (PS) connected to the second input port of the high-voltage transformer (TRVN) primary whereat the ports of the high-voltage transformer (TRVN) secondary are attached to the electrodes (E) that generate strong electromagnetic field. The device can be designed as a portable device and if the electrodes (E) are fixed to the carrier (30) which can be mounted on a handcart, a cultivator, a tractor, a truck or on a trailer or some other towing vehicle on which there is also mounted the device for weed control from which the high voltage is through the conductors conducted from the output ports of the device to each of the plurality of electrodes (E) mounted on the carrier (30). The device for the weed control in the plant exposed to the strong electric field, because of the losses, develops the heat in such a way that the temperature of the plant increases. Due to the temperature increase, the dielectric losses in the plant are higher, which results in further development of heat and further increase of losses. This cumulative process continues until the destruction of the harmful plant is accomplished owing to the electro-thermal breakthrough.
