Abstract

APPARATUS FOR DESTROYING WEEDS, according to the invention, consists of a switch (S) transformer (TR), cascade (K) assembly for the voltage multiplication, and high voltage transformer (TR) and a feedback (PS) assembly, assemblied in a whole so that input connector (F) is attached to switch (S), output connector of which is attached to one input connector of the transformer’s (TR) primary, whose other primary end is connected to input connector (N), while the output connectors of transformer’s (TR) secondary are connected to input connectors of cascade (K) assembly whose output is connected to one input connector of the high-voltage transformer’s (TR) primary, whilst the cascade (K) assembly is through feedback (PS) assembly connected to the second input connector of the high-voltage transformer’s (TR) primary, whereas the connectors of the highvoltage transformer’s (TR) secondary are connected to the electrodes (E) which produce a strong electromagnetic field. The apparatus for destroying weeds can be designed as a portable apparatus, as well if the electrodes (E) are placed onto the carrier (30) for mounting on a hand carts, on a motocultivator, on a tractor, on truck, on a trailer or on a hauler of another vehicle on which devices apparatus for destroying weeds is also placed and from which apparatus is, through conductors, a high voltage from output connectors on apparatus, conducted to each of plurality of electrodes (E) mounted on the carrier (30).Apparatus for the destroying weeds in operation expose a plant to a strong electric field, which within plant, due of the losses, produce heat, so that the temperature of the plant increases. Increase of temperature wihin plant increase the dielectric losses in the plant also, which results in further heat rise and further rise of losses. This cumulative process takes until heat reaches the point where weed is destroyed due to electrothermal breakthrough.

Description

, , _ v APPARATUS FOR DESTROYING WEEDS TECHNICAL FIELD Apparatus for destroying Weeds belongs to the field of agriculture, to methods andapparatus for the destruction of unwanted, harrnful plants and parts of plants in agriculturalcrops, e.g. Weeds to apparatus for destruction by electricity, by creating electric shocks, respectively to apparatus with constant power supply, that converts of AC power input into DCpower output, by static converters using semiconductor devices without control electrodearranged to operate in series, e.g. for multiplication of voltage.
Int.Cl.8: A 01M 21/04 (2014.01); H 02M 7/10 (2014.01) TECHNICAL PROBLEM Technical problem which has to be solved by the subject invention consists of thefollowing: to provide apparatus that will produce a strong electric field which will cause heatincrease within harrnful plants and their parts so as to generate an increase in temperature withinthe plant trees, which will create increase of dielectric loses in plants, which will further cause adrying and wedging and burning harrnful plants due to electro-therrnal breakthrough.
Technical problem as well consists in the realization of such a high voltage device withconstant DC power supply (via adapter), or by AC (from the power supply network) which willbe able to be used as a portable, handheld device, as device that can be mounted on a carrier on ahandcart, on the tractor, on the motocultivator, on a truck or on a trailer, and which device will,by passing through rows planted with agricultural crops, or in parks, meadows, grasslands, ingardens, along the roads, highways and elsewhere, destroy unwanted, harrnful plants, weeds andparts thereof The aim of the invention is also the creation of devices that will be stable in operation, will have a higher degree of efficiency (less power consumption than the known devices), thatwill be easy to handle, have a simpler, safer and more stable launch, and also will create a stableoutput high voltage and stable frequency, and simultaneously will have a high level of security during operation, surveillance and maintenance of such apparatus.
Using this apparatus can be achived a positive and negative values of multiplied highvoltages of low or high frequencies so that there may be realized a strong electrical fields withincomparably higher voltages which can reach up to l MV and in that way achieve thedestruction of all types of Weeds or harrnful plants and parts thereof Method of applying this apparatus for destroying Weeds in commercial use is shown anddescribed in detail in the description of this invention in the application, so that for its realizationand successful application does not require any particular knowledge, instruction or skills, hereare necessary and sufficient knowledge and experience that has the skilled person in the subjectarea and that are sufficient for the successful application of the subject invention, as well for itsmanufacture on the basis of this description. All functional and other characteristics of apparatusmade and assembled according to the disclosed electric scheme are successfully implementedand tested several times on the realized prototype.
Although the apparatus for destroying weeds is described with reference to specificembodiments shown in the drawings, it is clear that the details of its construction and individualachievement, like a particular phases of the process can be modified with respect to thosedescribed and shown in the drawings, but this will not depart from the idea of the presentinvention. The purpose of the embodiments shown and explanations is to inforrn the personsskilled in the subject area of structures that can be achieved using an additional carrier ofplurality of electrodes, which can be placed on hand carts, on a tractor, on truck or on a trailer oron a hauler of another vehicle. Based on the accompanying drawings and on the aforesaiddescription of the invention, the persons skilled in the art will be able to make a larger number ofmodifications and/or variations, e. g. to make the box of a different form in which will be placedthe apparatus for destroying weeds, according to the present invention, which box will bedifferent from appearance as shown on the figure, however, all these modifications andvariations are included within concept of invention and are included in the scope of the above invention as defined in the following claims. mnin: QT/xmvnvïfiiiiiius o ii iiinv v ii,vfnqwi ,. fw vv itiaisii.. i ino iimz Dnr PD Arm vnmnrmiw ii i, icuio iuio .nioiiivih H UUQÉDDT A {DQ\UU;\U 4;\;\>_;/ n
