Inventia se refera la un aparat pentru masurat rezistivitatea electrozilor siderurgici si foloseste principiul masurarii caderii de tensiune pe o anumita portiune din lungimea electrodului siderurgic, la trecerea unui curent electric constant pein acesta. Deoarece tensiunea culeasa este invers proportionala cu sectiunea electrodului, aparatul este prevazut cu un comutator decadic cu ajutorul caruia se prescrie diametrul electrodului supus masurarii. Masuratorile sunt precedate de o etalonare a aparatului, care se face prin atingerea unui senzor tactil montat pe panoul frontal, eventualele corectii facându-se cu ajutorul unui potentiometru.
