Inventia se refera la un amestec de formare utilizat la alcatuirea formelor de turnare a metalelor si, în special, la realizarea miezurilor. Amestecul este alcatuit din nisip, silicat de sodiu si un adaos format, în procente de greutate, din 20...40% oxid de calciu, 2...10% oxid de magneziu, 0,5...25% bioxid de siliciu, 5...15% hidrati de carbon.
