Inventia de fata se refera la un procedeu pentru polimerizarea ciclopentenei cu deschidere de ciclu, în prezenta unui sistem catalitic Ziegler-Natta, format din hexaclorura de wolfram si triizobutil de aluminiu activat cu un amestec de epiclorhidrina si cloranil la rapoarte molare de 4:1...5:1 si hexaclorura de wolfram/epiclorhidrina 1:0,8...1 la o concentratie de 0,05 mmol hexaclorura de wolfram la un mol de ciclopentena.
