Inventia se refera la un procedeul de obtinere a adehidei anisice (p-metoxibenzaldehida) prin oxidarea anetolului (1-metoxi-4-propant(1)-ilbenzen) cu amestec cromic în emulsie apa-solvent organic, utilizand drept catalizator un acid carboxilic. Aldehida anisica astfel obtinuta poate fi folosita în amestecuri de aromatizanti si odoranti.
