Abstract

Procedeul de purificare a carbonatului de magneziu tehnic, conform inventiei, consta în aceea ca, folosindu-se carbonat de magneziu tehnic sub forma de suspensie apoasa, avînd concentratia de 6...10 g/l MgO, suspensia este supusa carbonatarii prin barbotare de bioxid de carbon, la temepratura de 15...25 degree C, la presiunea de 1...5 kgf/cm2, cu un debit al gazelor pentru carbonare de 100...500 l/h si o concentratie de bioxid de carbon a gazelor pentru carbonare de 30...100% CO2, obtinîndu-se dupa filtrare, o solutie limpede de bicarbonat de magneziu, avînd o concentratie de 5...8 g/l MgO si urme de siliciu, fier. calciu, solutia limpede de bicarbonat de magneziu fiind apoi supusa decarbonarii, de exemplu, prin barbotarea de aburi, la temperatura de 70...100 degree C, iar carbonatul de magneziu astfel precipitat este apoi filtrat, uscat si macinat rezultînd un produs finit cu un cuntinut forte redus de siliciu, fier, calciu, din care se poate obtine, în continuare, prin calcinare, oxid de magneziu de înalta puritate, în functie de puritatea impusa produsului finit, ciclul recarbonatare carbonat de magneziu-decarbonatare solutii de bicarbonat de magneziu poate fi repetat.
