Betoanele foarte grele pentru protectia împotriva neutronilor sunt materiale de constructii pentru executarea ecranelor de protectie atît împotriva neutronilor de toate categoriile cît si împotriva radiatiilor gama avînd densitatile aparente cuprinse între 2 565 si 5 570 kg/m la puterea3. Acestea prezinta interens în domeniul constructiei ecranelor de protectie de la centralele nuclearo-electrice, reactoarelor nucleare acceleratoarelor de particule etc.
