Abstract
Inventia se refera la o coarda pentru rachete de tenis si jocuri înrudite, realizata din sîrma metalica cablata, de preferinta sîrma din otel aliat cu crom si nichel, eventual acoperit cu material plastic. într-o varianta a inventiei coarda este prevazuta cu un miez din material de cîteva ori mai elastic decît sîrma de preferinta material plastic de exemplu poliamida al carui diametru este mai mare decît grosimea sîrmei. Pe acest miez sunt înfasurate strîns una sau mai multe sîrme rotunde sau dreptunghiulare paralele, eventual precomprimate. Rachetele realizate cu sîrme din metal au, în comparatie cu cele realizate cu corzi din mate sau material plastic, avantajul de a fi mult mai putin sensibile la influente atmosferice, de a avea o mare rezistenta la rupere si de a avea, prin urmare, o durata mai mare.
