Pocedeul de fabricare a divinilbenzenului prin dehidrogenarea catalitica a dietilbenzenului la 660...680 degree C cu viteza volumara de 0,3...1 1/1 cat. h, caracterizat prin aceea ca, un amestec format din dietilbenzen cu puritate 98% si un continut de izomer orto sub 5%, în amestec cu dietilbenzen recirculat cu un continut de etilvinilbenzen sub 20% luat în proportie de 4:1 în greutate este diluat cu vapori de apa în raport de greutate de 5...10:1, apoi este trecut în zona de reactie, dupa care amestecul de reactie gazos este prelucrat în vederea separarii produsului de reactie, în mod cunoscut.
