Abstract

The invention relates to a radiant energy collecting installation, particularly to a solar energy collecting installation with a view to provide heating and to produce electricity. The radiant energy collecting installation (10) comprises a container (11) with liquid, a platform (13) floating on the liquid in the container (11), a device permitting the displacement of the platform (13) on the liquid in the container (11), a radiant energy collecting device mounted onto the platform (13) which comprises a collecting pipe (29) playing the role of transferring the collected energy to a source of energy, a reflecting device such as mirrors (28), mounted on the platform (13) in such manner that it reflects the radiant energy and concentrates the solar energy towards the radiant energy collecting pipe (29), and is characterized in that the reflecting device such as mirrors (28) is immersed selectively into the liquid in the container (11), the collecting pipe (29) remaining above the liquid to prevent energy loss in case of bad weather.
