Abstract

The invention relates to a process for the preparation of a water-soluble inclusion complex of silibinine with a cyclodextrin selected from α, β, τ- cyclodextrin and an appropriate derivative which comprises preparing a solution of silibinine and cyclodextrin in water at a pH in excess of 7, adjusting the pH of the solution to values below 7 by the addition of an appropriate acid and isolation of the complex formed.
