O objecto da minha invenção foi o de conseguir uma máquina muitíssimo mais económica e mais rápida sem diminuir a qualidade do polimento.The object of my invention was to get a machine that was much cheaper and faster without reducing the quality of the polishing.
Sabia que qualquer máquina de polir, de qualquer marca, utiliza de oito a doze cabeças, isto é, oito motores na parte inferior dos quais existem pratos circulares. Cada prato leva em média quatro calces abrasivos. Há calces que duram doze horas mas outros não vão além de tres horas. Por outras palavras, a manutenção destas máquinas é muito dispendiosa. Também reparei que os canteiros utilizam rodelas de lixa que colocam nas rebarbadoras para fazerem acabamentos no polimento e conseguem um bom trabalho. Outro casquilho com uma perfuração também cónica igual à geratiz do primeiro cone tem uma rosca no lado da base do cilindro.
