PLIn the printing of fabrics, as is known, vat dyes are thickened with starch or with a gum solution and printed, adding alkali and sulfoxylates. In order to fix the vat dyes, the material after printing is vaporized, then washed and finished. The method is suitable for materials printed on common fabric printing machines. In manual printing and by means of spraying, this method presents some difficulties, since, unlike machine printing, in a given case it is often not possible to print and steam the material one and the same day. However, since the material lies for a longer period of time before evaporation, then the sulfoxylate in the thin, printed layer decomposes, and in this case the reduction and fixation of the dye during evaporation does not take place at all or to an insufficient degree. If the vat dyes are thoroughly mixed with solutions of esters or fiber ethers and the mixtures are printed, the material must be treated with a reducing agent solution, for example sulfoxylate and an alkali, before evaporation. Water-soluble fiber alkyl ethers are particularly suitable for this purpose. By avoiding treatment with a reducing agent solution and alkali, the fiber esters or ethers are released and the dyes in the unprinted areas do not spill. Usually, agents such as starch or gum as such are not in play as they would flow easily. According to the present method, the printed material can be developed after any time, which is a significant technical advantage. Method of printing dyes with esters or fiber ethers, especially with water-soluble fiber ethers, mercury also for printing - * ^ waiga ma | er | alow * on send printing machines, which has so far only been used for paper * In gravure printing machines, the rolls of which are engraved by photo, you cannot use ink printing, seasoned with the usual reducing agent and alkali, and containing starches or gums, as these inks cannot be mixed with enough dye which, with a delicate engraving, would give a beautiful printing effect. For these reasons, vat dyes have not yet been used in this type of gravure printing machines. The present process is excellently suited for this purpose, since it is possible to prepare a printing ink which contains significant amounts of dye in a solution of esters or fiber ethers. After printing in order to fix the dye, the material is treated with the necessary amount of reducing agent and alkali, thus obtaining artistic printing effects, which could not be produced on ordinary textile printing machines. Example I. The material is printed (manually) a printing ink, consisting of: 200 g of black vat dye in the form of a paste according to German patent No. 241997 100 g of water 700 g of thickener M TTg ~ Thickener M is made from 100 g of methyl fiber dissolved in 900 g of cold water = 1 kg. After printing, the material is filled with the following surfacing solution: 200 g of rongalite C 1: 1 80 g of glycerin 30 g of B dissolving salt 0 g of potassium 570 g of water ~~ and kg Then the material is dried and evaporates within 5 minutes in a Mather-Platt airless evaporator at 101 ° C, then rinsed and hot soaps. Instead of methyl fiber, other water-soluble alclins can also be used such as, for example, water-soluble ethyl cellulose. Example II. The material is printed with printing ink: 200 g of black vat dye in the form of a paste according to German patent No. 241997 100 g of acetone 700 g of thickener A Tkg - Thickener A consists of 80 g of acetyl fiber dissolved in 920 g of acetone = 1 kg. A further treatment is as shown in Example I. Example III. The material is printed with the following printing ink: 100 g of a dye in the form of a paste according to the German patent No. 155415 100 g of benzene 100 g of spirit 700 g of thickener B Tkg "Thickener B consists of 80 g of ethyl fiber dissolved in 460 g of spirit and 460 g of benzol = 1 kg. After printing, the goods are welded and finished, as in example I. - 2 - Example IV. For printing on a gravure machine, the following printing ink is used, for example: 500 g of vat black dye (in form paste) according to German Patent No. 241997 500 g of isagestor M (see example I). Further processing is carried out as indicated above.
