Abstract

1451357 Two-part couplings; terminals BUNKER RAMO CORP 27 Nov 1973 [10 Sept 1973] 54942/73 Heading H2E The contacts of a plug connector each comprises a sheet metal channel shaped terminal portion 36 with side walls 52, 53 and a base wall 54, each side wall having in opposed portions detents 59, 60 inwardly of the channel to form at least one notch 68, 70 for recieving an insulated conductor to be attached to the terminal portion by cutting the insulation and subsequently making electrical connection with the conductor during the reception. Each contact is retained in a respective passage 14 of a moulded mount 12 mounted in a metallic shell (not shown), the retention of the contacts being effected by bonding a tab 42 against the mount. The free edges of the detents provide V-shaped cutting edges (78-80, Fig. 4) and a medial portion (90) for spreading the insulation apart after cutting. [GB1451357A]

Zastrzezenia patentowe 1. Styk elektryczny, przeznaczony do polaczenia elektrycznego z elementem obwodu zawierajacym izolowany przewód elektryczny, posiadajacy koncówke wykonana z cienkiej blachy zawierajaca co najmniej jeden wrab, który sluzy do przecinania izolacji przewodu i ustanawiania polaczenia elektrycznego z umieszczonym w nim przewodem, znamienny tym, ze posiada wydluzony kanal o przekroju poprzecznym w ksztalcie litery U, w którym naprzeciwlegle czesci przeciwleglych scianek bocznych sa wglebione do wewnatrz tworzac co najmniej jedna pare wewnetrznych wybrzuszen formujacych wrab i sa rozdzielone przez niego, przy czym kazde z Wybrzuszen posiada jedna pare scianek polaczonych nierozdzielnie z przylegajaca do nich scianka boczna, zaokraglona czesc dolna umiejscowiona przy wrebie i laczaca scianki tak, ze tworza powiekszona powierzchnie scierna dla umieszczonego we wrebie przewodu, oraz czesc górna umiejscowiona przy wrebie w której scianki wybrzuszenia sa od siebie oddalone i posiadaja co najmniej jedno sciecie skierowane na zewnatrz które tworzy powierzchnie przecinajaca izolacje.Claims 1. An electrical contact intended to be electrically connected to a circuit element comprising an insulated electric wire having a tip made of sheet metal containing at least one frame that serves to cut the insulation of the wire and establish an electrical connection with the wire therein, characterized by that it has an elongated channel with a U-shaped cross-section, in which the opposite parts of the opposite side walls are recessed inward, forming at least one pair of internal bulges forming a spar, and are separated by it, with each bulge having one pair of walls permanently connected with adjacent side wall, a rounded bottom part located at the notch and joining the walls so that they form an enlarged abrasive surface for the wire placed in the rebate, and the upper part located at the notch in which the walls of the bulges are spaced apart and have at least one cut facing outwards which forms a surface intersecting the insulation. 2.
