The purpose of the invention is to remove the above-mentioned drawbacks and development of a method that allows to reduce the production costs while maintaining optimal performance characteristics of the products. The method presented according to the invention consists in shaping the blade using the cold plastic working method, i.e. below the recrystallization temperature. Shaping of the blade consists in rolling transverse, longitudinal, or transverse and longitudinal. The advantage of the method according to the invention is the possibility of spontaneous hardening of the knives during the heating operation to the forging temperature. This eliminates the repeated heating, annealing and descaling. In addition, the method included in the invention will allow to shorten the machining cycle and thus reduce the production costs both in direct and indirect work. The process of manufacturing knives according to the invention gives an example, in which subsequent image operations represent its processing cycle. Sheets are cut into strips from which the pre-shapes are cut. In this operation, the outline of the shank is obtained ready, then the operation of rolling the blade, then embossing the ornament on the shank with simultaneous straightening of the blade, cutting the blade, hardening the blade, tempering, straightening, two-sided grinding of the blade surfaces for a wedge and finishing operations consisting in grinding and polishing .2 75107 PL
