The subject of the invention is a device for purification of liquids such as synthetic ammonia from iron in the form of fine particles. A device for removing iron in the form of fine particles of liquid ammonia has not yet been solved, but it is necessary because the liquid ammonia contaminated with iron dust causes great losses in the industry. Contaminated in the form of fine iron particles, ammonia produces products that are its product, which are quite strongly colored, instead of colorless, which makes the value of these products useless in terms of export. The iron contained in the liquid ammonia is deposited in the sponge. forms in heat exchangers causing poor heat exchange and, consequently, adversely affecting the course of the technological process. The invention is designed to overcome these disadvantages. The device according to the invention shown in Figures 1 and 2 consists of a pressure vessel 1 made of non-magnetic steel, inside which an electromagnet 2 in the form of plates is placed. The electromagnet is made of steel which is not permanently magnetizing and is powered by a direct current, with the coil 3 of the electromagnet outside the pressure vessel. The coil is capable of being supplied with reverse polarity current in order to eliminate residual magnetism. At the bottom of the pressure vessel there is a pocket 4 in the shape of a cylinder 10 15 20 25 30 and is provided with two gate valves, the upper gate 5 and the lower gate 6. Operation of the device is as follows: magnet 2 where it is released from iron dust, then leaves the device through the pipeline 8. During operation, the current to the coil 3 of the electromagnets is switched on. After depositing a sufficient amount of iron dust on the poles of the magnet, the current to the electromagnets is switched off and currents with opposite poles pass to them in order to eliminate the residual magnetism on the magnets. Under these conditions, iron dust falls off the poles of the magnet 3 and gets into the pocket 4 located under the poles of the magnet.
