This method is labor-intensive and does not ensure detection of some defects. Thanks to this, it is possible to set the head pitch depending on the thickness of the tested element and the possibility of adjusting the heads to the curvature of the element. The advantage of the method of testing according to the invention with the system of two transmitting-receiving heads is better defect detection, less labor-consumption and continuous control of the operation of the heads. So far, this method has not found practical application due to the lack of a device for guiding ultrasound heads.
