Abstract

The subject of the utility model is a forklift cabin providing increased driver comfort.

The known paneled forklift cabins consist of a front section, a roof, a rear section and an opening door. The front part is glazed and equipped with a windshield wiper (and, optionally, a sprayer) is attached to the protective frame of the forklift truck by means of single holders or a metal frame around the glazing perimeter. The sheet metal roof has glazing to provide the driver's visibility in a forward and upward direction and is attached to the forklift's protective frame by bolts.

Forklifts are also known which have a roof made of soft PVC foil with glazing for forward visibility upwards and attached to the protective frame of the forklift by means of adhesive Velcro. The rear part of the cabin is fixed or openable, glazed or made of soft PVC foil. If it is glazed, it is attached to the protective frame of the forklift by means of handles or a metal frame around the perimeter of the glazing. The rear part, made of PVC foil, has glazing for the driver and is attached to the protective frame of the forklift with self-adhesive Velcro. It can be opened with sewn-in zippers. The doors are made of sheet metal and glazed, or made of soft PVC foil, ensuring the driver's left and right visibility. If the door is made of sheet metal and glazed, it is attached to the protective frame with screws. The door is equipped with an opening window, a lock to close and a gas shock absorber (actuator) for comfortable opening. The door made of soft PVC foil is attached to the protective frame with self-adhesive Velcro, can be opened and closed with sewn-in zippers and can be rolled up in the summer months.

The inconvenience of cabins made in a glass-sheet combination is excessive weight, which causes gradual destruction of the silent blocks attaching the protective frame to the forklift chassis, frequent glass breakages and the high price of the cab, including spare parts. The inconvenience of the cabins made with the combination of glass and soft PVC is poor protection against cold, insufficient protection of the cabin against strangers, crumpled foil during long-term rolling in the summer, and thus poorer visibility after repeated use.

The known disadvantages of the existing forklift cabins are eliminated by the cabin built according to the utility model, consisting of a protective frame, to which the glass front part is attached around the perimeter by a handle or a metal frame. The cab also features a roof, rear section, left-hand hinged door and right-hand hatch. The essence of the technical solution lies in the fact that the roof and the rear part are made of a polycarbonate plate or a poly-acrylate plate attached to the protective frame with fixing elements or glued to the protective frame. The left opening door and the right opening door are divided into the upper and lower part of the steel stiffening element. The lower part of the door is made of a polycarbonate plate or a polyacrylate plate. The upper part of the door contains a hardened glass window fixed to the window profile and possibly a polycarbonate or polyacrylate plate and a sliding glass. The window profile consists of three ribs, one rib comprising an elongated portion that extends to the lower portions of the left or right opening door. Between the elongated part and the stiffening element, a polycarbonate plate or a polyacrylate plate is gripped.

The advantages of the technical solution consist in ensuring the safety of the driver, long life of the cabin, protection of the forklift against unwanted use, low production price, unbreakable material of the plastic plates used and low weight of the cabin.
