Description

2 — widok zprzodu kotla przebudowanego i fig. 3 — widok tegoz kotla zboku. Rury grzejne 3 zostaja równiez wyjete z kotla. Cyfra 4 oznacza dzwon parowy, a 17 — dymnice kotla. Palenisko 5 z wlazem zamy¬ ka sie zatworami 9 i 11, przyczem stanowi ono dolna komore wodna kotla. 2 i 3, i ogrzewa sie gazami odlotowemi, w sposób znany. PLIn new steam engines or when converting old appliances into new ones, we use almost exclusively water-tube boilers in view of the constant increase of the working pressure; and boilers with large dimensions are not applicable, because having a large diameter they cannot withstand high pressures. Although some types of these boilers, e.g. the Fairbairn boilers, have a large heating surface, they cannot be used in the form of evaporating boilers, because their construction is based on completely different principles than the construction of these boilers. Therefore, they are not currently applicable. The present invention relates to a method of converting large size fire tube boilers into water tube boilers which are best suited for high pressure boilers. The essence of the invention is that the heating pipes extend with the bottoms of the boiler as After loosening the rivet joint, the whole of the boiler is fixed with a pipe at one end, while the open end of the boiler is closed with a new bottom. At the other end of the tubular bundle, a water chamber made of new material or of parts of the boiler that can be removed after riveting. The construction of a special water chamber is also unnecessary if the boiler furnace is undamaged, since it is closed in the openings, the furnace can be used as a water chamber without any other modification. In the accompanying figure, Fig. 1 shows the section of the boiler. Fairbairn, the parts that dispose of after the boiler conversion are shown with dashed lines; Fig. 2 is a front view of the rebuilt boiler; and Fig. 3 is a side view of this boiler. In the Figures, the number 1 denotes the mantle of the boiler, which in the new boiler forms a large chamber. The boiler parts 2 are redundant in the new circle; The heating pipes 3 are therefore also removed from the boiler. The number 4 stands for the steam bell and 17 for the boiler smoke boxes. Parts 2-4 and 12 are said to be removed from the kettle after loosening the rivet bond. After these parts have been pulled out, the hatch 8 of the fire chamber 5 is lifted from the mantle 1, as well as at the bottom 7 and 6 with the fire chamber 5, the hatch 8 and the bottom 7 of the mantle 1, which we then connect to the bottom 7 in such a way that so that the sheaf of pipes comes out of the plains. The free end of the mantle is closed with the bottom 10, and the openings 12 and 14 with the plugs 13 and 15. The firebox 5 with the manhole is closed by the plugs 9 and 11, whereby it is the lower water chamber of the boiler. Finally, this boiler is positioned after the boiler 18, as shown in Figs. 2 and 3, and is heated with the exhaust gas in a manner known per se. The lower water chamber, which in this example is made up of a hearth, can be made in large boilers with a cylinder. He will learn different from the Fairbairn cauldrons, from the cauldron ring, which is cut off from the main cauldron. The above method therefore allows the conversion of large fire tube cauldrons easily and using old material into water-tube boilers. PL
