Description

Pierwszenstwo: Opublikowano: 10.XII.1969 58828 KI. 40 c, 1/22 MKP UKD C 22 d 669.537 'i n Wspóltwórcy wynalazku: mgr inz. Ewa Lach, dr inz. Danuta Krupkowa, mgr inz, Raisa Czerniak, inz. Mieczyslaw Kap- czynski, mgr Jan Nosel Wlasciciel patentu: Instytut Metali Niezelaznych, Gliwice (Polska) Sposób otrzymywania cynku elektrolitycznego o duzej czystosci Przedmiotem wynalazku jest sposób otrzymy¬ wania cynku elektrolitycznego o czystosci 99,99— —99,995% wagowych. Patent owner: Instytut Metali Niezelaznych, Gliwice (Poland) The method of obtaining electrolytic zinc of high purity The subject of the invention is a method of obtaining electrolytic zinc with a purity of 99.99—99.995% by weight. The content of lead in zinc so far produced by electrolysis ranges from approx. 0.003 up to 0.02% by weight. Until now, in order to improve the purity of electrolytic zinc, strontium carbonate or barium carbonate has been added to the cells, which significantly increases the cost of zinc production. The object of the invention is to improve the purity of the electrolytic zinc by reducing its lead content. This goal was achieved by the use of an additive of naphthalenedisulfonic acids to the electrolyte. This additive, introduced into the electrolysers in the amount of 0.3-1.0 kg per ton of zinc, reduces the content of lead in the cathode zinc. With the addition of SrCO 3 and BaCO 3, the naphthalene disulfonic acids used are much cheaper and more effective in operation. PL
