Well-known swivel chairs stand on a multi-arm base equipped with a shock absorber and casters, and feature a metal frame, seat, backrest, and armrests. The essence of the industrial design is the chair's new form, manifested in its shape and line arrangement. The swivel chair, based on the industrial design, stands on a familiar multi-arm base equipped with a shock absorber and casters. It has a metal frame supporting a padded and upholstered, quadrangular seat covered in leather or fabric. Two armrest supports extend from beneath the seat, to which flat, oval pads are attached. The frame also supports a padded and upholstered, quadrangular backrest covered in leather or fabric. The subject of the design is shown in two variations in the attached illustrative material consisting of a drawing and a photograph. The first variation, shown in figures 1 and 2 and photographs figures 5 and 6, depicts a swivel chair with a high backrest. Figures 1 and 5 show the chair in an oblique front view, and figures 2 and 6 in an oblique back view. The second variation, shown in figures 3 and 4 and photographs figures 7 and 8, depicts a swivel chair with a low backrest. Figures 3 and 7 show the chair in an oblique front view, and figures 4 and 8 in an oblique back view. Essential features of the industrial design The padded and upholstered, quadrangular chair seat, covered in leather or fabric, has a longitudinal stitching down the center. The chair's backrest, also padded and upholstered, is quadrangular in shape, covered on the sides and front with leather or fabric, overlapping the back and ending with a cross stitch above half the backrest height. The front of the backrest has a cross stitch above half its height, from which a longitudinal stitch runs down the center. The lower, rear part of the backrest is covered with a plywood board with a wedge-shaped cutout in the center that tapers downward, filled with upholstery material.
