The invention relates to a method of making cores used in the casting of fittings. The method described in the patent No. 47 874 has the disadvantage that the hardening time of the core is still relatively long. Moreover, especially with large internal surfaces of core boxes, the removal of the core is difficult, and hence its surface is not smooth enough. The method according to the invention removes this disadvantage, since, as it turned out, the cores made according to this method have better technological properties. The essence of the invention is the use of a specific composition of the mass and a different hardening temperature of the core. The mass is obtained by adding 4% to 6% of resin and 0.3 to 0.5% of sulphate to washed quartz sand. ammonium calculated with respect to the resin, the ammonium sulphate being in the form of a 50% aqueous solution. This mass is mixed and then put into steel core boxes, heated by electricity or gas, the core box being kept at a temperature of 220 to 280 ° C for five seconds to two minutes. The time is set within the above limits, since depending on the nature of the core 10, its hardening may occur earlier or later, in any case not more than two minutes, which is a great advantage of the method according to the invention. for easier removal, the core boxes are coated with a wax powder, for example, Montana. If, on the other hand, the surfaces of the core boxes are large, it is more preferable to cover the core boxes by spraying, and then a solution of about 40% wax and 30% kerosene and oil are used. PL
