Abstract
The subject of the application is a method of producing ceramic porous carriers and the use of porous ceramic carriers of substances produced in this way as immobilizers that permanently bind enzymes associated with pathogens. The mentioned method is characterized by the fact that dried, shredded and separated into homogeneous fractions of plant or animal biomass with a size from 1.5 mm to 5 cm, preferably with a hierarchical and open morphological structure, is subjected to the process of cryogenic freezing in liquid nitrogen at a temperature of -195.8 °C or carbon dioxide at a temperature of -78.5°C is crushed and separated inertally into fractions in a stream of expanded gases, and then the lightest biomass fractions, preferably with high uniform and natural porosity, are mixed with chemical substances, preferably sodium bicarbonate or sodium carbonate, separately or in mixtures in the amount of 10 to 90% by weight of chemical substances based on the dry weight of the biomass used, and after mixing, it is crushed to a size of 0.1 to 1.5 mm, preferably by the cavitation method using ultrasounds generated by heads emitting ultrasounds in combination with grinding and homogenization, and then separated into fractions using known methods, and fractions with similar biomass structures are homogenized and chemical substances are added to the resulting homogeneous mixtures of the biomass fraction, preferably nano copper with its salts, nano silver with its salts, micronized titanium dioxide and subjected to a protective atmosphere of gas nitrogen pyrolysis from ambient temperature to 450°C; by incorporating, during the pyrolysis process, active chemical substances present in the batch and/or products of their thermal decomposition with added biocidal substances into the resulting ceramic support structures of a hierarchical or channel-like open spatial character, preferably with mesopores dominating the resulting porous structures.
