System obejmuje element budowlany i torowy, element taboru kolejowego, element zasilania energią elektryczną i element sygnałowy takie, że: element budowlany i torowy zawiera tory kolejowe składające się z dwóch rzędów szyn, mających nachylenie od -6% do 6%; element taboru kolejowego zawiera pociągi toczące się na kołach metalowych i ze środkami napędowymi rozmieszczonymi w każdym z wózków wagonów tworzących pociąg; element zasilania elektrycznego zawiera szereg podstacji odwracalnych, zawierających przetwornik podłączony między siecią a sekcją trzeciej szyny elektrycznej, biegnącej wzdłuż torów i zdolnej do uruchamiania dla pracy albo jako prostownik albo jako falownik.The subject of the invention is a metropolitan railway system with reduced energy consumption.
