Abstract

W zgłoszeniu stwierdzono, że występuje korelacja między genotypem C-262T w genie CAT (rs1001179), poziomem miedzi w surowicy a ryzykiem raków u kobiet w Polsce. Przedmiotem zgłoszenia jest sposób określania ryzyka raka, charakteryzujący się tym, że obejmuje ocenę konstytucyjnej zmiany w genie CAT C-262T (rs 1001179) oraz ocenę stężenia miedzi w próbce biologicznej badanej kobiety, przy czym kombinacja poszczególnych genotypów z określonym stężeniem miedzi wskazuje znacząco obniżone ryzyko rozwoju raków: - dla genotypu CAT nCC przy stężeniu miedzi w surowicy 1200-1350 µg/l (lub stężeniu w dowolnym materiale biologicznym odpowiadającym stężeniu w surowicy).The application states that there is a correlation between the C-262T genotype in the CAT gene (rs1001179), serum copper levels and the risk of cancer in women in Poland. The subject of the application is a method for determining the risk of cancer, characterized in that it includes the assessment of the constitutional change in the CAT C-262T gene (rs 1001179) and the assessment of copper concentration in the biological sample of the examined woman, where the combination of individual genotypes with a specific concentration of copper indicates a significantly reduced risk development of cancers: - for the CAT nCC genotype at a serum copper concentration of 1200-1350 µg / l (or concentration in any biological material corresponding to serum concentration).
