Abstract

W zgłoszeniu stwierdzono, że występuje korelacja między genotypem genu GPX1 (rs1050450), poziomem żelaza w surowicy a ryzykiem raków u kobiet w Polsce. Przedmiotem zgłoszenia jest sposób określania ryzyka raka. Sposób charakteryzuje się tym, że obejmuje ocenę konstytucyjnej zmiany w genie GPX1 Pro200Leu (rs 1050450) oraz ocenę stężenia żelaza w próbce biologicznej badanej kobiety, przy czym kombinacja poszczególnych genotypów z określonym stężeniem żelaza wskazuje znacząco obniżone ryzyko rozwoju raków: - dla genotypu GPX1 CC przy stężeniu żelaza w surowicy 1050-1350 µg/l (lub stężeniu w dowolnym materiale biologicznym odpowiadającym stężeniu w surowicy); - dla genotypu GPX1 nCC przy stężeniu żelaza w surowicy 725-900 µg/l (lub stężeniu w dowolnym materiale biologicznym odpowiadającym stężeniu w surowicy).The application states that there is a correlation between the GPX1 gene genotype (rs1050450), serum iron levels and the risk of cancer in women in Poland. The subject of the notification is how to determine cancer risk. The method is characterized in that it includes the assessment of the constitutional change in the GPX1 Pro200Leu gene (rs 1050450) and the assessment of the iron concentration in the biological sample of the examined woman, where the combination of individual genotypes with a specific iron concentration indicates a significantly reduced risk of cancer development: - for the GPX1 CC genotype a serum iron concentration of 1050-1350 µg / l (or a concentration in any biological material corresponding to a serum concentration); - for the GPX1 nCC genotype at a serum iron concentration of 725-900 µg / l (or the concentration in any biological material corresponding to the serum concentration).
