Sposób biokatalitycznego otrzymywania 25-hydroksylowanej witaminy D3 (kalcyfediolu) o wzorze II, polega na tym, że prowadzi się proces regioselektywnej hydroksylacji substratu o wzorze I w środowisku wodno - organicznym, w obecności reutleniacza, w atmosferze beztlenowej, w temperaturze 15 - 45°C, a zwłaszcza do 30°C, z użyciem preparatu enzymatycznego, wykazującego aktywność dehydrogenazy C25 steroidowej (S25DH), pochodzącej z bakterii Sterolibacterium denitrificans Chol-1S.The method of biocatalytic preparation of 25-hydroxylated vitamin D3 (calciphediol) of formula II consists in the process of regioselective hydroxylation of the substrate of formula I in a water-organic environment, in the presence of a re-oxidiser, in an anaerobic atmosphere at a temperature of 15 - 45 ° C and especially up to 30 ° C, using an enzyme preparation having C25 steroid dehydrogenase (S25DH) activity derived from the bacterium Sterolibacterium denitrificans Chol-1S.
