Mechanizm przełączania głowic w dwugłowicowej drukarce druku przestrzennego zawiera nieruchomy korpus ze skręconych płyt, przy czym w płytach dolnej (20) i górnej (14) osadzony jest obrotowy wał (2). Wał (2) ma prowadnice (5), na których zamocowane są suwliwie wózki toczne (7) opraw (8) głowic (9). Oprawy (8) połączone są z płytą górną (14) cięgnami (6) o wahliwych panewkach.
