Ustrój wielowarstwowych przeszkleń termoizolacyjnych charakteryzuje się tym, że przegrody (3) mają postać folii ze szkła nieorganicznego o grubości poniżej 400 µm, o elastyczności charakteryzującej się promieniem ugięcia mniejszym niż 40 cm i o właściwościach optycznych charakteryzujących się sumarycznym współczynnikiem refleksyjności od obu powierzchni przegród (3) poniżej 7 procent, absorpcją światła widzialnego poniżej 7 procent i współczynnikiem zamglenia poniżej 1,5 procent. Przegrody (3) wykonane są z ultracienkiej folii o grubości od 20 do 300 µm ze szkła krzemianowego lub borowo-litowego.
