Przedmiotem wynalazku jest sposób identyfikacji chemotypów lipopolisacharydowych bakterii Gram-ujemnych w oparciu o profil endotoksynowy pelnych komórek bakteryjnych uzyskany z zastosowaniem metody MALDI-TOF MS. Profil pochodzacy od lipopolisacharydów (LPS) dla preparatów mas bakteryjnych uzyskuje sie w trybie jonizacji ujemnej spektrometru MALDI-TOF z zastosowaniem DHB jako matrycy. Przedmiotowe rozwiazanie moze sluzyc do analizy próbek klinicznych, diagnozy infekcji powodowanych przez bakterie Gram-ujemne oraz miec zastosowanie jako narzedzie w terapii nakierowanej na antygen O z pomoca swoistych przeciwcial.The subject of the invention is a method of identifying lipopolysaccharide chemotypes of gram-negative bacteria based on the endotoxin profile of whole bacterial cells obtained using the MALDI-TOF MS method. The lipopolysaccharide (LPS) profile for bacterial mass preparations is obtained in the negative ionization mode of the MALDI-TOF spectrometer using DHB as the matrix. This solution can be used to analyze clinical samples, diagnose infections caused by Gram-negative bacteria, and be used as a tool in therapy directed towards the O antigen with the help of specific antibodies.
