Abstract

Clamping fitting (10) used for fixing a sanitary component to a wall has a clamping bolt (16) and a clamping element (12) which is pulled inside itself on turning the clamping bolt. The clamping fitting has a housing (14) in which the clamping element is positioned so that it can rotate. An Independent claim is also included for a sanitary component having a recess for a clamping fitting. Preferred Features: The clamping element has a cylindrical outer periphery and a spiral ramp on one inner side which engages with a head (24) of the clamping bolt. The clamping element and the housing have a through hole through which the head of the clamping bolt is inserted in an approximately radial direction. The housing has a tubular recess (30) for the clamping bolt.
