Abstract

A clamping sleeve (18) is inserted so that it surrounds the pipe screwed on the bolt until it comes into contact with the inner wall of the component of the wall-mounted object. A screw element (24) engages in a radial through hole in the sleeve and acts with the corresponding end on an angled surface (27) which is formed by a corresponding radial recess (28) in the pipe. Tightening of the screw produces through the presence of the angled surface a tension effect on the pipe and a sliding action of the sleeve in the axial direction on the component of the wall-mounted object. Retractable fixing device comprises a pipe (11) with a section (12) having an internal thread for engaging with a bolt (13) having an external thread for unsupported fixing on a wall (14). The pipe is inserted into a corresponding through hole of a component (16) of the wall-mounted object. An Independent claim is also included for an object for mounting using the above fixing device.
