Abstract

Monitoring system for a district heating distribution network comprises a multiplicity of electronic control units (14) and sensor electronic units (16) at each of the connection points (10) of the distribution network. The sensors are positioned in the pipe insulation of the network and are connected via a sensor wire and return lead that form a sensor loop (20). The sensors are directly connected to the control units and the sensor loops run directly to the adjoining connection point.
