The novelty and originality of the basic furniture according to the industrial design, in relation to known basic furniture, is evident in its shape and the arrangement of lines defined by its component parts and decorative finishing strips. The fixed components are the base cabinet and top shelf, and the decorative finishing strips on the side walls and top wall have a significantly larger cross-section than the decorative finishing strips on the flaps, drawers, and doors. The arrangement of horizontal and vertical lines is determined by the positioning of the base piece's components, by the solid, decorative finishing strips on the side walls and top wall, and the decorative finishing strips on the flaps, drawers, and doors, depending on the base piece. Industrial-style base units constitute a self-contained whole or the main component of furniture sets, particularly when combined with single-door and double-door wardrobes, as well as display cabinets. The massive, decorative trim on the side walls and top of industrial-style base units clearly dominates the furniture, lending a unique depth to its compact structure, boasting high-quality, aesthetic, and functional values. Combining elegance with inimitable charm, the base unit allows for a wide range of furniture sets to be designed according to customer expectations. Industrial-style base units include cabinet furniture made of laminated particleboard or particleboard veneered with a finish or similar foil. The strips, veneered with a wood-like foil, are made of wood-based panels: HDF, MDF, or LDF. In the first version of the basic furniture based on an industrial design, as shown in Fig. 1, the product's new and distinctive character is evident in its shape, defined by a lower cabinet with two flaps and an illuminated upper shelf with two side-by-side drawers, as well as in the massive decorative finishing strips on its side walls and top wall, which have a significantly larger cross-section than the decorative finishing strips on the flaps, drawers, and doors.
