Formy te przezna¬ czone sa do wytwarzania wyrobów szklanych na automatach szybko formujacych, pólautomatach i prasach recznych.Dotychczas stosowane zeliwo motfbdenowo-chromowo- -miedziowe o symbolu ZINi 1,1 Mo Cr Cu wedlug PN- -79/H-83115 zawierajace wagowo 2,8—3,2% wegla, 1,6— —2,0% krzemu, max.—0,2% manganu, max.—0,15% fosforu, max.—0,11% siarki, 0,7—1,5% niklu, 0,2—0,6% chromu, 0,12—0,15% miedzi i 0,3—0,6% molibdenu, reszta zelazo, w automatycznym procesie formowania wy¬ kazalo niska trwalosc powodujaca przedwczesne mikro- pekniecia na roboczych powierzchniach form, które po¬ wiekszaly sie w miare uplywu czasu.W celu zwiekszenia trwalosci form glównie na dzialanie wysokiej temperatury opracowano nowy gatunek zeliwa molibdenowo-kobaltowego, o skladzie wagowym: 3,0—3,8 % wegla, 1,0—2,5% krzemu, 0,4—1,2% manganu, max.— 0,4% fosforu, max.—0,12% siarki, 0,8—1,8% niklu, 0,8—1,4% chromu, 1,3—7,0% molibdenu, 0,3—8,0% kobaltu, 0,2—0,8% tytanu, 0,6—1,0% aluminium.
