Description

Opis patentowy opublikowano: 15.03.1982 111135 Int. Grafit srebrzysty spelnia role skladnika przeciw¬ dzialajacego przypaleniu masy do odlewu, natomiast 5 stearyniany spelniaja role srodków hydrofobizuja- cych oraz zwiekszajacych przyczepnosc grafitu do ornodelowania. Cl.2 B22C 3/00 ^ and the reading room. Inventors: Weronika Peteja, Ireneusz Szlenk. Authorized by the patent: Przedsiębiorstwo Dostaw Materiałów Foundry, Tychy (Poland) Separating backfill for models and foundry core boxes and the subject of the inventive project is silica-free backfill for separating metal, wooden and plastic models and core boxes from molding sands. The most commonly used separating backfills are made on the basis of silica materials (quartz flour, ground feldspar) hydrophobized at high temperature, organic non- water-wettable materials, most often waxes of mineral origin. Separating powders with a significant percentage of silica in the composition, pose a risk of lung diseases (silicosis). In addition, they only fulfill the role of a separating agent, not protecting the casting from burning to the molding sand, and thus not ensuring the production of good-quality castings. Therefore, it was purposeful to develop a separating backfill, ensuring effective separation of the sand from the modeling, not containing the recipe turbulent silica, highly heat resistant, easy to manufacture, non-toxic. As a result of the tests carried out, the separating powder according to the invention was developed, consisting of a mixture of two free-flowing components: silver graphite and a salt of higher fatty acid, preferably zinc and / or calcium stearate. An exemplary weight composition of the separating powder according to the invention is as follows: Example 2 graphite silver KLZ - 94% by weight, zinc stearate - 6% by weight. Silvery graphite acts as an ingredient preventing the burning of the mass to the casting, while 5 stearates act as water-repellent agents and increase the adhesion of graphite to orthoating. mixing of the components at ambient temperature in conventional bulk material mixing devices. The thus obtained separating powder separating the thin layer deposited on the patterns and core boxes effectively separates the pattern and core boxes from the molding sand by a method known in the art of foundry strong grip and molding masses protects the model against the harmful effects of casting binders. The separating backfill according to the invention is fire-resistant, fulfills the role of a protective covering preventing the formation of surface defects on castings, such as burns and scorch. It is easy to produce and as silica-free it improves health and safety conditions. 25 PL
