The most commonly used separating backfills are made on the basis of silica materials (quartz flour, ground feldspar) hydrophobized at high temperature, organic non- water-wettable materials, most often waxes of mineral origin. Separating powders with a significant percentage of silica in the composition, pose a risk of lung diseases (silicosis). In addition, they only fulfill the role of a separating agent, not protecting the casting from burning to the molding sand, and thus not ensuring the production of good-quality castings. Therefore, it was purposeful to develop a separating backfill, ensuring effective separation of the sand from the modeling, not containing the recipe turbulent silica, highly heat resistant, easy to manufacture, non-toxic. As a result of the tests carried out, the separating powder according to the invention was developed, consisting of a mixture of two free-flowing components: silver graphite and a salt of higher fatty acid, preferably zinc and / or calcium stearate. An exemplary weight composition of the separating powder according to the invention is as follows: Example 2 graphite silver KLZ - 94% by weight, zinc stearate - 6% by weight.
