Znanem jest, ze amonjakalne lugi 7,5% miedzi, 2,5% chloru, 7% amon jaku chlorku miedziawego, stosowane przy ana¬ lizie gazów, nagryzaja silnie metaliczne ze¬ lazo, wobec czego nie nadaja sie do usu¬ wania tlenku wegla z gazów technicznych i z mieszanin gazów w aparaturach zelaz¬ nych, szczególnie przy wyzszych cisnie¬ niach. Nagryzanie zelaza mozna wpraw¬ dzie znacznie oslabic przez stosowanie a- monjakalnych roztworów chlorku miedzia¬ wego ze znacznym nadmiarem amon jaku; lugi te posiadaja jednak z powodu cisnie¬ nia amon jaku te wade, ze podczas wype¬ dzania pochlonietego tlenku wegla wielkie ilosci amon jaku ulatniaja sie wraz z tlen¬ kiem wegla.Znaleziono, ze zdolnosc nagryzania ze¬ laza przez amonjakalne lugi chlorku mie¬ dziawego mozna znacznie oslabic domiesz¬ ka siarczanów, np. miedzi lub amonjaku.Wytwarza sie np. lug, zawierajacy i ilosc SO±, równowazna stosowanej mie¬ dzi. Obojetnym jest przytem sposób przy¬ rzadzania rozczynu; mozna np. zmieszac siarczan miedzi i chlorek amonowy z od¬ powiednia iloscia amonjaku lub tez chlorek miedziawy i siarczan anionowy z odpowied¬ nia iloscia amonjaku.
