Abstract

The present utility model relates to a process of producing a composition of a medicinal ointment. The ointment produced is effective to kill germs, bacteria and fungi present in the inflamed skin due to cuts and wounds because based on the phytochemical analysis of the leaf extract Chromolaena odorata, five out of seven phytochemicals were present in this plant namely: saponins, tannins, flavonoids, alkaloids and steroids and negative for the presence of anthraquinone and Cyanogenic glycosides.
