Abstract

An exhaust device for a motorcycle includes an exhaust pipe guard (70) that guards a specific exhaust pipe region (51P) extending from a first exhaust pipe portion (54) extending in a first direction via a curved exhaust pipe portion (55) to a second exhaust pipe portion (56) extending in a second direction, the exhaust pipe guard (70) being in the form of a rod-shaped piece of a loop shape made up of an outer curved guard member (71) spaced a gap from and extending along a curved outer side surface of the specific exhaust pipe region (51P), a lower guard member (72) extending along a lower surface of the specific exhaust pipe region (51P), and joint guard members (73, 74) interconnecting both ends of the outer curved guard member (71) and the lower guard member (72). The lower guard member (72) of the exhaust pipe guard (70) is fixed in the vicinity of its both ends to the specific exhaust pipe region (51P). It is thus possible to provide an exhaust device including the guard member of the exhaust pipe that protects the exhaust pipe and is less liable to be deformed under external forces.
