LA PRESENTE INVENCION COMPRENDE UN DISPOSITIVO Y UN METODO PARA LA DETECCION DE LESIONES SUPERFICIALES LISAS TALES COMO CARIES O FISURAS EN LA SUPERFICIE DE LA CORONA DE UN DIENTE, TENIENDO EL DISPOSITIVO UN TRANSMISOR/RECEPTOR DE ONDAS SUPERFICIALES ULTRASONICAS CAPAZ DE TRANSMITIR ONDAS SUPERFICIALES ULTRASONICAS A LO LARGO DE LA SUPERFICIE DE LA CORONA DE UN DIENTE. LAS LESIONES SUPERFICIALES QUE ENCUENTRAN LAS ONDAS SUPERFICIALES ULTRASONICAS PRODUCEN REFLEXIONES DE ONDAS SUPERFICIALES ULTRASONICAS QUE SON RECIBIDAS EN EL GENERADOR/RECEPTOR, LO QUE PERMITE QUE SE DETECTE LA PRESENCIA DE LESIONES. EL GENERADOR/TRANSMISOR DE ONDAS SUPERFICIALES ULTRASONICAS PUEDE COMPRENDER UN TRANSDUCTOR OPERATIVAMENTE CONECTADO A UN ACOPLADOR TIPO CUNA.
