Abstract

Ovaj se pronalazak odnosi na uredjaj i na postupak za otkrivanje oštećenja glatkih površina kao što je karijes i prskotine na površini krunice zuba, pri čemu uredjaj ima jedan predajnik/prijemnik (20) ultrazvučnih površinskih talasa koji može da emituje ultrazvučne površinske talase duž površine krunice zuba. Površinska oštećenja na koje naidju ultrazvučni površinski talasi proizvode odraze ultrazvučnih površinskih talasa koje može da prima generator/prijemnik, čime omogućuje otkrivanje postojanja oštećenja. Generator/prijemnik ultrazvučnih površinskih talasa može imati jedan pretvarač povezan sa klinasto oblikovanim sprežnim elementom (30). Uzdužni ultrazvučni talasi generisani pretvaračem prenose se na površinu zuba sprežnim elementom koji ima jednu dodirnu površinu u dodiru sa površinom zuba koji se ispituje. Sprežni element isto tako omogućuje da odrazi ultrazvučnih površinskih talasa budu prihvaćeni od pretvarača.
