QUE COMPRENDE: 1) CALCINAR EL MINERAL QUE CONTIENE ORO ACOMPANADO DE POR LO MENOS UNO DE LOS METALES DE Ag, Cu, Ni, Zn o Fe A TEMPERATURAS ENTRE 500�C Y 900�C CON UN GAS QUE CONTIENE OXIGENO PARA FORMAR UNA MEZCLA DE MATERIA SOLIDA (MMS) QUE CONTIENE OXIDOS METALICOS DE LOS METALES ACOMPANANTES Y UN GAS DE ESCAPE QUE CONTIENE SO2; 2) CONTACTAR DICHO GAS DE ESCAPE CON UNA SOLUCION ACUOSA PARA OBTENER UNA SOLUCION QUE CONTIENE SULFITO; 3) ENFRIAR LA (MMS) PROCEDENTE DE LA CALCINACION HASTA TEMPERATURAS ENTRE 50�C Y 300�C; 4) MEZCLAR DICHA (MMS) ENFRIADA CON LA SOLUCION QUE CONTIENE SULFITO E INTRODUCIR UN GAS QUE CONTIENE OXIGENO PARA DISOLVER LOS OXIDOS METALICOS DE LA (MMS) Y FORMAR UNA SOLUCION DE SULFATOS METALICOS SOLUBLES; 5) SEPARAR EN UNA ZONA DE SEPARACION LA MATERIA SOLIDA DE LA SOLUCION DE SULFATO Y ENVIAR DICHA MATERIA SOLIDA A UN DISPOSITIVO DE LIXIVIACION DE ORO O A UN DISPOSITIVO DE SEPARACION DE METALES NO FERRICOS.
