CADA UNO DE LOS ELECTRODOS BIPOLARES TIENE UN LADO DE CATODO Y UN LADO DE ANODO, ENTRE LOS CUALES EXISTE UNA UNION CON CONDUCCION ELECTRICA DURANTE EL FUNCIONAMIENTO DE LA CELDA Y POR LO MENOS UNO DE LOS ELECTRODOS BIPOLARES TIENEN CONFIGURADOS EN FORMA MOVIL ENTRE SI, EL LADO DEL CATODO Y EL LADO DEL ANODO, LO QUE PERMITE VARIAR LA DISTANCIA ENTRE LOS DOS LADOS DEL ELECTRODO Y/O SACAR DE LA CELDA UNO DE LOS LADOS MIENTRAS QUE EL OTRO QUEDA EN LA CELDA
