Abstract
La presente invencion provee un metodo de seleccion de una planta de stevia con una relacion del contenido de rebaudiosido M elevada, que comprende un paso de detectar en el genoma de una planta de stevia de prueba la presencia y/o la ausencia de por lo menos una de las siguientes caracteristicas geneticas (1) y (2), y la presencia y/o la ausencia de por lo menos una de las siguientes caracteristicas geneticas (3) a (7); donde (1) es homocigosis para el alelo en el cual la base en la posicion correspondiente a la posicion 290 de la SEQ ID N°: 1 es T; (2) es homocigosis para el alelo en el cual la base en la posicion correspondiente a la posicion 33 de la SEQ ID N°: 2 es A; (3) es homocigosis para el alelo en el cual la base en la posicion correspondiente a la posicion 44 de la SEQ ID N°: 3 es T; (4) es homocigosis para el alelo en el cual la base en la posicion correspondiente a la posicion 40 de la SEQ ID N°: 4 es T; (5) es homocigosis para el alelo en el cual la base en la posicion correspondiente a la posicion 48 de la SEQ ID N°: 5 es C; (6) es homocigosis para el alelo en el cual esta eliminada la porcion correspondiente a las posiciones 55-72 de la SEQ ID N°: 6; y (7) es homocigosis para el alelo en el cual la base en la posicion correspondiente a la posicion 50 de la SEQ ID N°: 7 es A
