Abstract

The "Preventiv' kit" functions is non-chemical based electronic vector trap. It is to serve in the domain of public health for diseases management and vector control. This is achieved by the elimination of indoor bitingand first-hand approach to pest resistance.

Description

The Preventiv’ kit is a non-chemical based electronic vector control trap for the éradication of major vector transmitted diseases including malaria, sleeping sickness, Dengue fever etc. This is achieved through the killing of adult vectors and control of the vectors’ population in the living environment. The kit functions on the principles of the Faraday laws of electromagnetic induction.
The report of the sixth meeting of the Vector Control Advisory Group (VCAG) Geneva, Switzerland, 26-28 April 2017. Geneva; World Health Organization; 2017. Licence: CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 IGO présents long-lasting insecticide nets (LLINs), indoor residual spraying (1RS), insecticides and spatial repellents within the VCAG portfolio. The above-mentioned techniques are limited because they expose humans to toxic chemicals like pyrethroids, organophosphates, alpha-cypermethrin, chlorfenapyr, piperonyl butoxide, transfluthrin and metofluthrin. This exposure also rather encourages pest résistance.
The Preventiv’ kit is an electronic suction System device that sucks up the target vectors, designed after the entomological study of the flight speeds and sizes of the target vectors. When the circuit System is closed, the blades of the rotor rotate in the hollow cylinder pushing out air through the outlet of the kit. To compensate for this pressure gradient created, air alongside the target vectors is pulled into the inlet of the kit. The target vectors are caught up and electrocuted by the naked conducting (Copper or Aluminium) wire meshwork inserted at the inlet of the kit. The absence of an active chemical ingrédient in the Preventiv’ kit technique présents an effective health-friendly solution for the élimination of the target vectors and pest résistance.
Fig 1/1 represents the technological design of the Preventiv’ kit. Conducting wire (f)(Copper or Aluminium) is used to connect the a.c energy source (a), the switch (b), the motor (c) and the naked conducting (Copper or Aluminium) wire meshwork (d) in sériés as shown in fig 1/1. The rotor blades of the motor are inserted into the hollow cylinder (e) at the center of the suction System. The naked conducting wire meshwork (Copper or Aluminium) is inserted into the inlet of the kit. (g) and (h) indicate the direction of flow of air into and out of the kit respectively when the switch (b) is closed.
The Preventiv’ kit is a non-chemical based electronic vector trap. It fonctions on the principles of the Faraday laws of electromagnetic 5 induction which states that in a closed circuit, a unidirectional current flowing through the wire windings of the stator of a motor engine induces a rotary force (torque) in its rotor. When the switch (b) is closed, the induced torque rotâtes the rotor blades within the hollow cylinder pushing out air through the outlet of the kit. This créâtes a 10 pressure gradient within the hollow cylinder. To compensate for this pressure gradient, air alongside the target vectors is pulled into the inlet of the kit. These target vectors are caught up and electrocuted by the naked conducting (Copper or Aluminium) wire meshwork. The kit is powered by an a.c energy source.
