Abstract

Disclosed is a modular Universal Serial Bus (USB) port (40,80) housed in a housing (10) including an engaging portion. The engaging portion includes at least two deflectable clips (18). Each of the clips (18) engages with a recessed surface of a corresponding mating interface of a supporting portion of a power outlet for retaining the USB port (40,80) to the power outlet. A power outlet includes the modular USB port and the mating interface and a method for connecting the modular are also disclosed.
