Abstract

Abstract 591685 Disclosed is a method for making mineral fertilizer by a fermentation process at a raised temperature under aerobic conditions in order to partially solubilise the required mineral, wherein the water content of the mineral fertilizer is maintained at a low level of between 2% and 5% by weight. Chelated trace elements, and sulphur may be added. Fermentation occurs more quickly, and is more certainly aerobic. The mineral fertilizer flows freely during distribution Phosphate-rich and lime-rich versions may be mixed without cross-reaction.
